Choose an explosion-proof container (positively pressurised container, negatively pressurised container) or non-explosion-proof container?

6/2/2022

Make a preliminary judgment based on the following:
Do your containers need to be placed in hazardous areas (ZONE1, ZONE 2)?
  • Yes, containers need to be placed in hazardous areas.
  • You need an explosion-proof container.
a) If the equipment in the container is explosion-proof, you can choose a container with explosion-proof and A60 fireproof function only
b) If the equipment in the container is non-explosion-proof, you need to choose an A60 fireproof and explosion-proof positively pressurized container (the air supply volume is greater than the exhaust volume. The indoor air is in a positive pressure state. Combined with the air conditioning unit, the cleanliness of the air sent into the container can be guaranteed.)

  • No, but the inside of the container is a danger zone.
  • You need a negatively pressurized container with explosion-proof standards
the air supply volume is less than the exhaust air volume, and the main cabin is in a negative pressure state. The surrounding air flows into the space and is discharged through the exhaust port for unified treatment.

  • No, both inside and outside the container are safe areas
  • You can choose a non-explosion proof container.
You can request whether the container has fire protection requirements according to your own needs. In general, the container can meet the A60 fire protection standard. At this time, the container is equipped with the corresponding fire damper (when a fire occurs, the fire damper can be automatically closed to cut off the spread of the fire through the ventilation duct, suitable for ships, offshore platforms and underground Engineering and other humid environments)
