Offshore DNV2.7-1 | ISO reefer & refrigerated container
Reefer containers or refrigerated containers are used to transport goods requiring temperature-controlled conditions in transit. Products such as fruit, vegetables, dairy products and meat are typical goods to ship in this kind of shipping container. Reefer containers are fitted with a refrigeration unit which is connected to the electrical power supply on board the ship. Our reefer containers or refrigerated containers are equipped with DAIKIN, CARRIER or THERMO KING refrigeration units to maintain the internal temperature between -20C° and +2°C. 10ft, 20ft, 40ft or customised size reefer container for option.
Warm or cold air is supplied to the container through an air duct system which circulates all over the cargo before it goes back to the refrigeration unit, which can provide consistent chilled or frozen temperatures for food transportation and storage, help keep food fresh during long-distance transportation. The adjustable ventilation holes in the refrigeration unit helps to prevent spoilage to the living products (cargos) as it expelled the warm toxic air which is produced by the living products from the container.
Offshore Reefer containers or refrigerated containers are designed and manufactured in accordance with DNV2.7-1 / EN 12079. All units are stackable where deck space or yard space is at a premium. The units are fitted with integrated forklift pockets for ease of load/unload. Units are provided with door curtains as standard and optional shelving to suit customers’ requirements
