Offshore DNV2.7-1 | ISO reefer & refrigerated container
Reefer containers or refrigerated containers are used to transport goods that require temperature-controlled conditions in transit. Common goods shipped in these containers include fruit, vegetables, dairy products, and meat. Each container is fitted with a refrigeration unit connected to the electrical power supply on board the ship. These reefer containers are equipped with DAIKIN, CARRIER, or THERMO KING refrigeration units to maintain the internal temperature between -20C° and +2°C. Different sizes of reefer containers are available, including 10ft, 20ft, 40ft, and customised sizes. Warm or cold air is circulated throughout the cargo before going back to the refrigeration unit, helping to keep food fresh during long-distance transportation. Additionally, adjustable ventilation holes in the refrigeration unit expel warm toxic air produced by living products from the container. Offshore reefer containers are designed and manufactured in accordance with DNV2.7-1/EN 12079. All units are stackable and fitted with integrated forklift pockets for ease of loading/unloading. Door curtains are provided as standard, and optional shelving is available to meet customers’ needs.
