Two different kinds of The Offshore Intelligent Pressurized Container

Type 1: Negative Pressure Container
Principle:
Negative pressure containers operate on the principle of creating a pressure difference between the interior and exterior environments. This difference causes air to flow from outside the container to inside, effectively preventing the escape of hazardous gases. By maintaining a lower pressure inside the container compared to its surroundings, any leaks or releases of hazardous gases are drawn into the container rather than being expelled into the environment.

Characteristics:
  • Designed for Safe Zones: Negative pressure containers are specifically engineered for placement in safe zones where the risk of hazardous gas exposure to personnel or the environment is minimal.
  • Explosion-Proof Electrical Installations: To ensure safety, all electrical installations within the container are Explosion-proof (Ex) certified. This certification means that the electrical components are designed and constructed to prevent the ignition of hazardous atmospheres, which could lead to explosions.
  • Handling Flammable or Hazardous Gases: These containers are equipped to handle experiments or processes that generate flammable or hazardous gases. By creating a negative pressure environment, they prevent the escape of these gases into the surrounding area.
  • Safety Measures: Negative pressure containers prioritize safety by containing any hazardous gas releases within the sealed environment. This protects both personnel and the surrounding environment from potential harm.
Type 2: Positive Pressure Container
Principle:
Positive pressure containers work on the principle of maintaining a higher internal pressure compared to the surrounding environment. This higher pressure within the container prevents the ingress of hazardous gases from the outside. By ensuring that the internal pressure is consistently higher, any potential leaks or openings will result in the outward flow of air, rather than the inward flow of hazardous gases.

Characteristics:
  • Suitable for Hazardous Zones: Positive pressure containers are engineered for use in hazardous zones, such as Zone 1 or Zone 2, where the risk of exposure to flammable or hazardous gases is significant.
  • Prevents Ingress of Hazardous Gases: By maintaining a positive internal pressure, these containers effectively prevent the infiltration of hazardous gases from the surrounding environment.
  • Safety in Hazardous Environments: Positive pressure containers provide a safe environment for conducting experiments or processes in hazardous zones. They ensure that any potential leaks or releases are contained within the sealed environment, reducing the risk of accidents or exposure.
  • Robust Construction: These containers are built with robust materials and construction methods to withstand the pressures required to maintain the positive internal pressure. They undergo stringent testing to ensure their integrity and safety in hazardous environments.
Conclusion:
When selecting the appropriate TLS Offshore Intelligent Pressurized Container for your offshore energy storage needs, thorough evaluation and consideration of various factors are paramount. Understanding the operational requirements, environmental conditions, hazard zones, safety features, compliance with regulations, customization options, and budget constraints are essential steps in making an informed decision.
