Motor Control Centers (MCCs) play a critical role in industrial facilities, providing control and protection for electrical motors and associated systems.

Here are some benefits of MCC and how they can enhance the efficiency, safety, and reliability of industrial operations.

  • Increased efficiency
MCCs can also increase the efficiency of industrial operations by improving the control and protection of electrical motors. By centralizing control and protection, MCCs can help reduce the time required to perform maintenance and repair tasks, improving the overall efficiency of the electrical system. In addition, MCCs can be designed to accommodate multiple motor control and protection functions, reducing the amount of electrical equipment required and freeing up valuable floor space.

  • Improved Safety
One of the most important benefits of MCCs is improved safety. By centralizing the control and protection of electrical motors in a single location, MCCs reduce the number of electrical panels and cables, reducing the risk of electrical hazards. In addition, MCCs typically incorporate various safety features such as thermal overload protection, short-circuit protection, and ground fault protection, ensuring that motors are protected from electrical hazards and are less likely to cause damage to other equipment.

  • Enhanced Reliability
MCCs can also enhance the reliability of industrial operations by improving the control and protection of electrical motors. With centralized control and protection, MCCs can help reduce downtime due to electrical issues, ensuring that motors continue to operate smoothly and efficiently. In addition, MCCs can be designed with redundant components and backup systems, providing extra protection against power outages and equipment failures.

The MCC shelter provided by TLS can meet DNV2.7-1| EN12079, pass third-party certification such as CCS and BV, and can be customized according to customer‘s requirements, which can also be used for Power control center (PCC), Variable speed driver (VSD), Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) shelter.

More information about offshore pressurised container/cabin
Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information about the offshore pressurised container. Our skilled engineers are eager to explain the possibilities for your applications.
TLS Offshore Containers International offers a wide range of pressurized containers, designed and built to customer specifications and compliant with industry standards such as DNV 2.7-1. These containers are ideal for use as Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and switchgear units, as they are fully insulated and air-conditioned, capable of operating in any climate, and feature a range of safety and protection features.

One of the key features of our pressurized containers is the combination pressurized fire and gas system (CPFG), which includes gas detection for H2S and CH4, smoke detection, manual call points, emergency stop push buttons, pressurization fan, loss of pressure alarm, flow switch, pressure switch, solenoid valve, and all necessary piping and cabling. This system ensures that the container remains safe and secure, even in the event of a fire or gas leak.

Our pressurized containers also feature a set of sling wire rope steel/galvanized 4 legs, interconnecting wires and cable trays, and a pressure switch for the container pressurization control. The walls, floor, and roof are A60 fire protected, and the container features an A60 emergency door, emergency lighting fixtures with a 2-hour backup, and a range of electrical components that are suitable for use in hazardous areas.

In addition to MCC and switchgear units, our pressurized containers can also be used for a wide range of other applications, including offshore drilling, oil and gas production, and other industrial and commercial applications. With our team of experienced engineers and technicians, we can provide advice and support on all aspects of container design, production, and installation, ensuring that our pressurized containers are built to the highest standards and meet the specific needs of our customers.
