- Offshore containers shall be tested according to the requirements of four-point lifting and two-point lifting respectively.
- During the lifting test, the lifting angle should be the design angle.
- The lifting process should be carried out smoothly to avoid obvious inertial load.
- The deformation measurement of the beam and the integrity inspection of the offshore container should be carried out after keeping the lifting state for 5 minutes.
FOUR-POINT LIFTING
- When lifting, a uniform load equivalent to 2.5R-T should be placed in the box.
- During the test, the deformation of the beam should not exceed 1/300 of the beam span. After the test, the container shall not show significant permanent deformation or damage.
TWO-POINT LIFTING (DIAGONAL LIFTING TEST)
- Select two lifting lugs at diagonal positions for lifting. When lifting, a uniform load equivalent to 1.5R-T should be placed in the container.
- If the container is not geometrically symmetrical, the lifting test shall be carried out on the two diagonal corners respectively.
- After the test, the container shall show no obvious permanent deformation or damage.
R - maximum allowable total mass of offshore container and loaded cargo (without spreader)
T - Empty mass of offshore container including attachments (without spreader)
The TLS containers will not promote the next production step until the lifting test is passed.
